I've been reading through your projects and there are some technologies that might be helpful. There is no way for me to teach you ALL of these; however, I can try to keep a list of technologies you might find helpful. Please feel free to add to these as you come across really helpful solutions.

Flikr:

• Quick Flickr: Widget: Display up to ten of your latest Flickr submissions in your sidebar.

• Flickr Photo Album: A fairly customizable Wordpress plugin that allows you to easily include photos in blog posts or display entire Flikr photosets as albums.

• pflickr: Flickr widget that allows you to choose a "Photo of the Day". You can also set it to refresh every second, minute, hour, week or month. 

• Wp Flickr Background Flickr widget that changes the theme of your background to a photo of your choice. You can create galleries of photos that change as you wish, either every month, week, or day, minute, etc.

• MapASet Wizard  This is a little tool you enter your email into, it pulls up your Flickr sets, and creates an embeddable map from selected sets.  It's super easy. 

Free Image Editing Software

• Gimp: Free image editing software similar to photoshop, versions are available for mac and linux users.
• IrfanView: Another helpful tool to quickly edit images.
• Aviary: Simple and easy image editing software for raster graphics. Feels like a simplistic photoshop.
• Aviary : Same sort of interface as the other aviary page, but for vector graphics.

• Registration Widget: Allows new users to sign up and contribute to your WordPress site. After installing, be sure to go to your WordPress "Settings", then "General" and change "New User Default Role" to whatever you desire.
